Traditional Eastern Medicine

I am a physician and use oriental traditional medicine for therapies. But most doctors in my country don't think that traditional medicine is not effective.
How traditional medicine is in your country?

Western medicine in the West..

Well, after having been subjected to Western medicine for the past 19 years, I have a few things to say on this subject.

I've found that in general the Western approach is that if something doesn't work, then cut it out and hope the symptoms go away. There very much seems to be an emphasis on curing the symptoms rather than the cause, which seems to be the opposite of Eastern medicine. Western medicine also seems to focus greatly on the part that seems to be broken instead of the broken part's place in the whole system. Generally what this means is a 'quick fix' and chronic return of symptoms.

Eastern medicine is accepted amazingly little in the public from what I've seen. Open minded people here have been getting some benefits from both the Eastern medicine praticioners and their philosophy, though. Also, I've seen a trend in Western medicine towards some of the Eastern philosophies. But IMHO it's still a long way from being as effective in many areas.

A good example is the rise in the cases of appendicitis. I've heard (although I guess no one can be sure since we don't really 'know' what it does) that the appendix tends to go bad from collecting junk you swallow, like chewed finger nails. I know a friend at work who has had a really bad problem with chewing his nails, and he also had his appendix taken out. Usually people start chewing their nails because they're nervous or stressed. Appendicitis has been on the rise. Hmm.. see a correlation? ) My roomate has also had appendicitis, a few years ago in college. He is almost always a stressed out nervous wreck. It looks to me like they'd rather cut out people's appendices instead of trying to figure out what causes it.

Actual medical doctors here may disagree with what I've said, but all of it has been IMHO ) IMHO In My Humble Opinion/Observations. Life philosophies and wholism go a long way sometimes towards improving life.

Traditional or natural herbals medicine.

The traditional or natural medicine has been pratised and
consumed in the China,India,Korea,Japan,Asean countries for
a very long time,so far,we didn't hear any side effect,but
it's remedies for many and so many sickness that the western
medicine fails them.
I am one of the lucky one,and so do my many friends, they try
the traditional medicine such as the reishi, natural pollen,
oligo protein.Even it cures my friends who has vagina cancer, menopause, prostate cancer, ulcers, and so on.
Thank you,I'd think people all over the world should try the
natural medicine.
